Overview

The culmination of more than 50 years of Yamaha two-stroke innovation, the YZ125 is a bike built to take you to the VictorYZone. Featuring lightweight race-bred engine internals and the renowned torque-boosting Yamaha Power Valve System (YPVS), the YZ125 develops hard-hitting power that keeps you out front. Along with its advanced aluminium frame, class-leading KYB® suspension and ultra slim bodywork providing a high degree of controllability both on the ground and in the air, it's designed for competition straight out of the box.

Key Features

Close-ratio transmission

Close-ratio six-speed transmission has wider transmission gear tooth width and optimised gear ratios for maximum performance.

Race-developed ergonomics

Complete with an aluminium handlebar, two-position adjustable handlebar clamp, lightweight bar pad, wide footpegs, gripper seat, adjustable clutch lever with works-style cable adjuster and lightweight rear sprocket design, the YZ125 is competition-ready straight out of the crate.

Keihin Powerjet carburettor

High-precision Hitachi Astemo® Keihin PWK38S carburetor features a power jet, throttle position sensor and 3D-map-controlled CDI unit for precise ignition timing. The result is clean, crisp throttle response, superior rideability and excellent over-rev character.

Lightweight frame

Race-proven, highly developed aluminium semi-double cradle frame is engineered to provide just the right amount of strength and flex for the perfect balance of stability and cornering performance. Removable aluminium rear subframe is constructed of square-section tubing for reduced weight.

Powerful 2-stroke 125cc engine

Yamaha's advanced, liquid-cooled 125cc two-stroke engine provides impressive acceleration, thrilling mid- to high-rpm power, along with supreme usability.

Best-in-class KYB suspension

Yamaha’s SSS (Speed Sensitive System) KYB front forks are widely regarded as being amongst the best designs available on a production motocross bike, and the YZ125 features low speed damping settings on both the front and rear suspension systems for better handling characteristics. Tool-free compression adjustment now features on top of each fork leg.
